Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs of sirloin roast, cut into thin strips
1/2 lb sliced mushrooms
1 small red onion, sliced thin
1/4 cup white wine
8 oz heavy cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dijon mustard
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
12 oz bag of wide egg noodles
Method
In a large bowl combine the flour and garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, add beef and toss to coat.
In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the beef in batches 3-4 minutes, removing to a large plate with a slotted spoon. Beef should be medium-rare to rare at this point.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles as directed.
While the noodles are cooking, reduce heat under the skillet to medium, add 2 tbsp of butter and the mushroom to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Add the onion and remaining 2 tbsp of butter to the skill and cook an additional 5-6 minutes.
Add the wine and reduce by half.
Add the cream, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir well.
Add the beef with its juices, stir well, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Serve beef on top or alongside noodles.
