Note: I like to add sauteed onions and peppers to mine along with some thyme.

Ingredients

4 eggs

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

3/4 cup milk

1 cup ham, fully cooked and cubed

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup croutons

salt and pepper

Method

Melt butter in a 8×8 casserole dish, add croutons, and stir to coat.

In a large bowl beat the eggs and milk together until smooth. Salt and pepper to taste.

Pour egg mixture over eggs and sprinkle shredded cheddar on top.

Top with the cubed ham, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, remove casserole from the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Bake for 40 minutes, or until eggs are set, and remove from the oven.

Let rest for 5 minutes, slice, and serve.
