Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
4 beef filets, 1 inch thick
seasonings of your choice
2/3 cup dry red wine, like Barolo
Method
Add butter and olive oil to a saute pan and turn heat to medium high.
Season both sides of filets with seasonings of your choice.
Sear both sides of filets for 3 minutes, then remove from pan.
Add wine to the pan and let it boil away.
Add filets back to the pan and cook for another minute per side. Remove from pan, pour remaining juices over filets, and serve.
