Green beans with garlic and olive oil are a simple yet delicious side dish that adds flavor to any meal. The combination of the earthy green beans, savory garlic, and aromatic olive oil creates a delightful medley of flavors. The beans are first steamed until just tender, and then garlic is sautéed in olive oil until fragrant. The cooked beans are then added to the garlic-infused oil, and the mixture is quickly sautéed until everything is combined. The result is a dish that is bursting with flavor and texture. The green beans are still slightly crisp, the garlic adds a hint of spice, and the olive oil provides a slight nuttiness that brings the whole dish together. Serve this dish warm, and you will have a dish that everyone will love.

Ingredients

fresh green beans, about a cup per person

olive oil

3 cloves minced garlic

Method

Snip the ends off of the green beans and place them in a pot with a steaming basket and water. Turn heat to medium-high.

Steam the green beans until you can pierce with a fork, leaving them a little crisp so they have some bite.

In a large skillet add some olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan and turn the heat to medium.

Add the green beans and the garlic and saute until heated through and garlic starts to turn golden.

Transfer to a bowl and serve.
