Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 diced onion
2 eggs
1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/3 cup milk
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp oregano
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Method
Combine milk and bread crumbs and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add onions and cook until very soft, about 15-20 minutes.
Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl until very well incorporated, then refrigerate the mixture for an hour.
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with foil and place a rack on top of the foil.
Form meat mixture into golf-sized balls and place on the rack.
Bake until browned and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
Add to any sauce and simmer.
