Oven-baked BBQ ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish. The ribs are slow cooked in the oven with a special blend of herbs and spices, resulting in tender, juicy meat that falls off the bone. Once done the bbq sauce is broiled on until caramelized. Oven baked ribs are the perfect meal for family and friends to enjoy.
Note: The recipe will be for 1 rack of ribs. You can make as many as you can fit in your baking pan.
Ingredients
1 rack of baby back ribs
seasonings
bbq sauces
Method
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
Place a rack in a large baking pan the will fit the whole rack of ribs.
Remove the thin membrane from the underside of the ribs. This is optional but recommended.
Place the ribs in the pan on the rack and cover tightly with foil.
Roast for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until very tender.
Remove from the oven and transfer ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet, meat side down, either as a whole rack of cut into 3 or 4 pieces.
Turn on the broiler.
Coat underside of ribs with desired sauce and broil for 3-4 minutes. until the sauce starts to carmelize.
Remove from the oven, flip ribs over, and coat with sauce.
Broil an additional 3-4 minutes, remove from the oven and serve.
