Oven roasted chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make meal. The flavor of the chicken is enhanced by roasting in the oven, with the golden brown skin providing a nice crunch. The chicken can be seasoned with salt and pepper, herbs and spices, or a marinade to create a unique flavor.

Ingredients

a 3 1/2 lb chicken

1 Tsp oregano

1 Tsp thyme

3 peeled cloves of garlic

salt

pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Rinse chicken and pat dry

Put the garlic and 1/2 tsp of oregano and thyme inside of the chicken, salt and pepper to taste.

Rub 1 tbsp of oil on the chicken and rub other 1/2 tsp of oregano and thyme on the skin, salt and pepper to taste.

Pour other tbsp oil into a roasting pan and set the chicken on top.

Roast for 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes. Chicken is done when juices run clear and meat pulls away easily from the bone.

Transfer chicken to a platter. Pour pan juices into saucepan and reduce by half. Pour over chicken and serve.
