Ingredients
sprig of fresh rosemary
2 fresh sage leaves
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons finely chopped bacon
2 cups peeled and chopped San Marzano tomatoes with juices
2 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
Method
Add olive oil to a large skillet with the onion and cook over medium high heat until the onion becomes golden.
Add the sage and rosemary and cook for 1 minute.
Add the bacon and cook for 2 minutes, stirring often.
Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste, and lower the heat to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes.
