Tater tots are a classic snack that everyone loves. Now, you can make them even more delicious with this recipe for Sweet and Spicy Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots. The bacon will give the tots a hint of smoky flavor and a nice crunch, while the seasonings will give them a sweet and spicy kick. Enjoy these Sweet and Spicy Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots as a snack or as a side dish. They’re sure to be a hit with the whole family! You can even add a small slice of jalapeno before wrapping with bacon for some added spice. (pictured)
Ingredients
48 frozen tater tots
12 slices of bacon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine brown sugar and cayenne pepper and rub over both sides of the bacon.
Cut each slice of bacon into 4 pieces.
Wrap bacon around tater tot and secure with a toothpick. You may add a slice of jalapeno if using before wrapping.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.
Serve warm with a dipping sauce if desired.
Note: We make a sauce of equal parts ketchup and brown sugar for dipping. Just like for our bacon wrapped water chestnuts.
You can make these ahead of time. Just reheat at 350 for 10 minutes.
